Let Me Introduce Myself

My name is Diane Cordero and I own and operate the Hudson Valley Pet Resort, along with my staff.

I have been involved with dogs since the age of nine when I acquired my first dog, a Weimaraner, with whom I started training in obedience. I knew at that time that my path in life was to share it with animals and to someday own my own kennel. I interned in high school with my veterinarian and then went to college to become a veterinary assistant.

I was a vet tech for 15 years, which was an education in itself. Along the way, I was in the 4-H obedience program until I aged out, and then went on to become a 4-H leader, and still am. I teach obedience classes to the kids in 4H and also teach classes to adults who are looking for basic obedience for their dog, (a dog they can live with).

I took a course in pet first aid and became a qualified PetTech Instructor. I now hold classes for Emergency Pet First Aid at the Resort, or for groups that want them at their establishments.

Since then I have obtained many obedience titles and championships on my dogs.

I still continue to attend seminars to learn the latest in pet care.

I have owned and operated the Hudson Valley Pet Resort since 1995. It has given me much satisfaction as I feel I continue to grow and learn.

We are very proud of our facility and would welcome any visits from you during our posted open hours.

We DO NOT encourage anyone to visit your pet while it is boarding with us. This simply tends to upset them more than comfort them.

WE PROVIDE blankets, feeding dishes and stainless steel water buckets. They will also be given a treat before bedtime.

We thank you for considering Hudson Valley Pet Resort for your pet's stay away from “HOME”
