Welcome to my HTML tutorials page. HTML is an acronym for "Hypertext Markup Language". HTML is the basic programming language used for building interactive webpages and websites. On this website I have set up several lessons in basic HTML authoring.
My lessons begin with starting from scratch. Hopefully, I can help those of you out there who have little or no experience with using computers.
You'll also notice that the menu to the left contains a link to my guestbook and my E-mail address. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns regarding this page.
Before you get started with these lessons, you will need to open notepad. Notepad is where you will write out the examples that I show you. If you really have no experience with using a computer, I'll tell you how to get to Notepad. Click on the start button then go to Programs>Accessories to access Notepad.
When you have written what you need for each example, save the file as "example.html" to a place where you can easily access it (I suggest the desktop). After you save it, click on the file to launch your web browser.
