Cathy didn't know what to think. Feidra didn't want to leave her sister's side. She sat in A.J.'s lap in a tinyhospital chair next to Cathy's bed. Their mother sat on the other side of the bed in another chair.
Tabatha was back on duty so Nick was all by himself. It was nearing 3:00 am. Everyone that had left, including Cathy and Feidra's dad and step-mom, they had come back in hearing the news. Because of the size of the hospital room's size, everyone but A.J., Feidra, and Fay's mother were in the waiting room.
"So..." Kevin said, trying to start up a conversation to break the silence that hung in the room.
Everyone looked up. "So what's it like to have kids Mr. and Mrs. D'Anginitto?" Kristen asked.
"Nervewracking." Mark provided. "But it still gives you the best feeling in the world to know that there is someone out there who wouldn't be alive if it weren't for you."
"I wish I could say the same." Tonie added. "I've tried to have children, but I can't. I'm sort of lucky that I can't though because if I could then I would have had at least 3 children before I hit 20. They were all miscarages though."
"I'm sorry." Kristen said after seeing the sad expression across Tonie's face.
"It's alright. I'm okay. ANd hey, it worked out any way - I've still got 2 great daughters." She smiled and Mark gave her a tight hug.
"Are you two planning on having any children? Fay said that you are married." Mark asked.
"Yes we're married and yes we are planning on having kids - but not for a while. We both have our careers to put first now." Kevon said.
"Oh yes, that's right...you're in that group the Backstreet Boys or something, right?"
"Yup, you got it." Kevin answered.
"Hey guys!" Tabatha popped into the room. "I want you all to meet someone, well, some people." She gestured for 2 people to come in and they did. " This is my mom, Carly, and this is my brother, Tim. They just got in from the airport about 1 and 1/2 hours ago." She paused and looked over at Markl and Tonie. "They've come back to live with me and my dad."
A big smile swept across Tonie's face. Carly and her husbadn Mike had always been good friends of hers. They finally got married and had Tabatha and Tim. Then they split up for and unknown reason, but now they were getting back together. She was fully enlightened.
"Mom, Tim, from here on the left over to the D'Anginittos they are Brian, his wife LeighAnne, Kristen, her husband Kevin, Howie, and that over there is my boyfriend, Nick."
Her mother smiled politely. "Nice to meet you all."
"Well guys, have fun! I'm back on duty and Dad won't be here until 6 to pick us up." Tabatha bounced out happily felling that her family was finally complete after blowing Nick a little air kiss.
Barely even 15 minutes later a sharp scream echoed through the corridors.
Mark leaped up from his seat. "That sounded like Fay..." In turn, everyone followed his getting up routine. He began to slowly walk towards the door. He hesitated in looking out into the corridor. A doctor or nurse or some other hospital person rushed by.
Tonie stepped up to his frozen body and placed her hand on his shoulder. He turned and she gave him a 'it's going to be alright no matter what' look. Still holding his shoulder, Tonie peered out the door. She could see where all of the comotion was from. She leaned herself back into the room and turned to her husband. "It's Catherine's room."
