So there is a story behind Boba. My husband and daughter and I were at the pet store, picking up food for my husband's tortoise. I (of course) stroll over to the feeder bins. And what do I see? A cute little himalayan still shedding out of his baby coat. He even had a little cap of beige fur that hadn't come out yet. I asked one of the employees if I could see him. That was a mistake. This guy was super sweet and cuddly.
So I stroll over to my husband, carrying a box with the rat in it. He looks at me, and sighs. "Well I get to name this one at least," he says. And so, we have Boba Fett.
This little guy is not a breeder, but he is a cutie, and I wasn't going to leave him to be a feeder. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for himalayans, which so rarely get the attention that their "big brothers" the siamese do. If you are ever here, be sure to ask to see Boba, he is gorgeous and he is a sweetheart.
UPDATE: That Boba sure is a tricky little fellow. We still aren't sure if he is a very poorly expressed Siamese or a Himalayan. The coat he was shedding out when we bought him was his second coat, if it had been his first fuzzy coat he would definitely be a Siamese. Depending on the lighting, his body is either the palest beige, or it is definitely white. Either way, we love this guy, and we are very glad that we snagged him before he was snake bait!
