GMFL New York Giants

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers have pretty much assured themselves as one of the two most dominant teams not only in the GMFL this year, but in the past two years by winning last years superbowl. They have an 12-2 record, with the 2 losses coming at the hands of division rival Cleveland the Steelers have pretty much bowled over opponents. Tommy Maddox has been a wonderful surprise for them, along with the Bus who now has over 1,400 yards rushing. Plaxico Burress leads the receiving core with over 1,300 yards. Not only is their offense dominating things, but their defense is ranked number 1 in the league for least amount of points given up. Joey Porter leads the hard nosed steel curtain defense with 75 tackles and Chad Scott is no slouch with 9 interceptions on the year and three touchdowns. The Steelers are definitely one of the best contenders for the Super bowl again, to beat them I think you need to slow down the Bus, because you aren’t going to be able to put a whole lot of points up on these guys.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have come out of the AFC West as huge surprise this year. With an 11-3 record also the Chiefs seem to be sitting high on a 8 game win streak. Trent Green leads the highest scoring offense in football with over 3,700 yards in the air and a rating of 105. Priest Holmes has secured himself as one of the best backs in football with over 1,100 yards rushing. Kevin Johnson and Johnnie Morton each have over 1,100 yards and are one of the best receiving duos in the league right now. Greg Wesley leads the D in not only tackles but interceptions. Defense is definitely the weak point for these Chiefs. They rely heavily on their offense to score points, and throughout the year that is just what the offense has done. I believe they are also a Super Bowl contender as long as the offense can keep rolling how it has been. Watch out because we might have the best game in the GMFL ever if the Steelers and Chiefs meet in the AFC Championship game.

Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are 11-4 on the year, and having a very great year in general. Michael Vick has been stellar for them with only being sacked 6 times, and only 9 interceptions to 21 TD's. Ricky Williams is having another dominant year with over 1,300 yards on the ground, he really is the leader of this Dolphin team. Orande Gadsden leads the team with over 1,100 receiving yards. This is a very well balanced offense, and it they are allowed to be balanced by Ricky Williams being able to run the football. On defense the Dolphins are lead by the DB's. Patrick Surtain, Brock Marion, and Sam Madison are the top 3 leading tacklers, but is that a good thing. It can't be good if all your DB's are making tackles. Anyways, Patrick Surtain is having a stellar year with 10 interceptions, 3 touchdowns, and 28 pass deflections. His counterpart isn't so bad himself Sam Madison has 27 pass deflections. All around the Dolphins will pretty much control how far they go into the playoffs, it will be tough though having to play either Pittsburgh or Kansas City. The key to beating these guys is stopping Ricky, and being able to run the ball yourself, because you aren't going to pass on these defensive backs.

St. Louis Rams
The St. Louis Rams are back in their high powered form, this time they are not being led by Kurt Warner, but rookie quarterback Darnell Fernandez. Fernandez has thrown for almost 3,300 yards. But Fernandez is not the best player on the team, that would be Mr. Faulk, he is the best runningback in the GMFL, and has showed it this year by rushing for over 1,600 yards and 15 touchdowns. Tory Holt has established himself as the better of the Rams receiving duo by nabbing 92 catches for over 1,600 yards. As for the defense they are lead by Ahmed Plummer, Adam Archuleta, and Jamie Duncan. Plummer has 73 tackles and 7 interceptions, and 28 pass deflections on the season. Archuleta has 63 tackles and 3 interceptions. Jamie Duncan has 62 tackles, with 14 for loss and 2 forced fumbles. Like I said Faulk is the leader of this team, and if you can control him you can beat the Rams, they do not have an overpowering defense but still one that is good.

New Orleans Saints

This season the Saints have been led by two quarterbacks. Mostly Aaron Brooks, but Moses Moreno has filled in nicely at times. Deuce McAllister is a great runningback, and Joe Horn has been an awesome reciever this year with 91 catches, for over 1,500 yards. On defense the Saints are led by Joey Wilkes, Fred Thomas, and Sedrick Hodge. Wilkes has 73 tackles, 16 of those being for loss. Thomas has 72 tackles, 4 interceptions and 25 pass deflections. Hodge has 68 tackles with 23 for loss and two interceptions. The Saints are a very well balanced team, and can control their destiny. You really pick your poison with them.

Philidelphia Eagles

The Eagles are a very good team and have one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Donovan McNabb hass thrown for over 4,000 yards and 27 touchdowns. He is a very accurate and efficient passer, and when he's hot he can hurt you. Who does McNabb pass to? Mainly two guys James Thrash has 95 yards for over 1,700 yards and Freddie Mitchell has 75 catches for over 1,300 yards. Duce Staley leads the ground game with over 1,200 yards, but only around 3.5 yards per carry. Still he is a force to be reckoned with and will usually get 25-30 carries a game. Middle Line Backer leads the defense with 81 tackles, 9 for loss, and 3 interceptions. Troy Vincent leads a very good secondary with 80 tackles, 6 interceptions, and 2 defensive TD's. This is probably the second best defense in the league behind the Steelers. Along with the defense they do have a very good offense that is no slouch to anyone in the league. They are going to be tough to beat and are one of my two choices to represent the NFC in the Superbowl. Good luck to them from all the G-Men.

Washington Redskins

The Skins are led by the unlikely hero Mike McMahon. One of my personal faves because I live in a suburb of Detroit. Anyways he has around 3,700 yards and 18 TD's. Not probowl numbers but still good enough to lead this over achieving team to the playoffs. Dez White and Keyshawn Johnson are the top recievers. White and Johnson have over 1,200 yards each. White is a deep threat with a 20 Yard Per Catch average. The A-Train leads the ground game with over 1,200 yards and 12 TD's. He is a very underated back (although he went to the best University in the Country) and should not be taken lightly. Champ Bailey and Brian Urlacher lead the Skins defense. Urlacher has 86 tackles with 27 for loss, and 3 interceptions. Bailey has 86 tackles with 4 interceptions and 22 pass deflections. The Skins have a good offense and a good defense. Like I said no superstars on the offense and with over 13 million in cap space can only get better. Good luck to them from all the G-Men.
