Prof. Solomon is a Professor Emeritus of History at Simmons College, Boston. He holds an BA Degree in History from Wayne State University, an MA in History from the University of Michigan and a PH.D. in the History of American Civilization from Harvard University. Prof. Solomon has also been a guest professor at Boston College, MIT and at Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany. He has written scores of articles on US foreign policy, globalization, war and peace issues, African American history, and race and racism which have appeared in both scholarly and popular journals. He has written or edited five books. His most recent is "The Cry Was Unity: Communists and African Americans, 1917-1936". He is a National Co-Chair of the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism.
