Charlie

Charlie was reborn in Mount Kisco Hospital, NY, USA at 11:45pm on Wednesday the 12th of March 1980. His affluent parents, one Jewish and one Christian, moved to the little village of Buckland on the outer edge of London's commuter zone, just nine months later. Hence, his first birthday was celebrated on the 13th of March thanks to the 5 hour time shift. This unusual start set him up to be an exceptional child with a slight identity problem. He was brought up to become cultured, intelligent, curious and almost entirely unprejudiced; but confused about his nationality, his religion, even his birthday. In 1983, his sister Erika was born. Two years later, the family returned to New England, living in Greenwich, Connecticut and Lexington, Massachussetts for a period, during which Charlie's brother Edward was born with a rare condition that meant he could only see in black and white. Eventually they settled back in Buckland, Surrey to raise their children as Brits.
