-- 12/17:
Rizzo has informed me the highlight video
is complete. We will have to get together sometime soon
to watch it. I think this Thursday we are meeting to get
the soccer balls, pins and letter and all that. Not for
sure yet, but I will get the word around when I find
out.
-- 12/15:
Added a roster for this year's team. It's
got our team picture on there too. Just for those of you
who want college coaches to know who you are.
-- 12/10:
Added a section that I will put up
pictures that the yearbook editors have taken of us
during the season. Jim already got me two pics so far
from the pep rally with our sign. Also I found out that
the all-star votings will be in the paper next week
Tuesday or the week after but hopefully next week. All
the have left to do is the boys and girls soccer so one
of them will be in there next Tuesday.
-- 12/3:
I would have to say it was a very good
banquet and a great way to top off a great season.
Congrats goes out to those who made an all-star team. I
have made a small site that lists everyone that made it.
Also for those who are playing U-19 Travel, I made a
site for us for this coming season.
-- 11/24:
Updated indoor site. For those of you who
didn't go, you missed a terrible game. Very embarrassing
that we lost to Pioneer's JV team 2-1. It didn't help
that we only had 7 or 8 guys. Oh well. Also for those of
you who still didn't get banquet money, your time is up tomorrow.
If I don't get it Monday and you still want to go, you
will pay 12 bucks a person for the banquet and you will
pay me an extra 65 bucks so I can get new goalie gloves.
-- 11/22:
Soccer Banquet is Tuesday Dec 3 at 6:00.
For those of you who didn't give me your money yet,
bring it on Sunday or at least let me know how many
people you have going. We need a head count by
Sunday so if you're not going to the game, tell someone
who is or e-mail me. My e-mail address is on the bottom.
This is really important so let me know. Thanks.
-- 11/19:
Added a Mr. Kirsch / Ned Flanders site.
More pictures will be added daily. Check back often.
-- 11/17:
Once again updated indoor site. Nothing else.
-- 11/10:
Updated indoor site. That's all. Need some new ideas
for Kirsch Memorabilia. Thanks.
-- 11/5:
Added a small site that will keep track of the indoor
season. The link is above. Also added Top 10 Teams in
WNY list and State Ranked. Enjoy.
-- 11/2:
East 0, Lockport 2 - We may not have won
today, but we went out, tried our best, and made a huge
impact for East Soccer. We've gained the respect we
deserve from other teams and proved to WNY that we were
no miracle story. We made it this far because we worked
hard and played as a team. Nobody carried this team on
their back, everyone contributed their part to make this
year's team a successful one. Don't be upset that we
lost, but rather be proud that we made it this far.
Think of everything we accomplished this year: ECIC
Division II Champions, Byron Bergen Champions, defeated
and shutout West 3 times this year and eliminating them
from the playoffs, having one of the best records East
has ever had and definitely the best team East has ever
had. Seniors, it was a great season to finish your high
school soccer career. Everyone else, you have a lot to
look forward to next year. Do not look back on what we
could've done, but we did do. Keep your head high and be
proud of what we did this year. Nobody can take that
away from you.
-- 10/26:
East 2, Grand Island 1 - As Mr. Kirsch
put it, "It's time to sink Grand Island!" and
that's what we did today. Goals from Cole and Micah, one
assist to Kevin B and Andy. Now it's on to the Section VI finals
in Lew-Port against Lockport. It
will be by far our toughest game this year, but again I
feel we can take them as long as we play as a team and
not as a one man army. Let's prove to Western New
York that West Seneca East soccer is no joke, and that
we are the #1 team in Section VI.
-- 10/24:
East 4, West 0 - Congratulations East on
the biggest win of the season. It was nice to take them
out of playoffs and get them back for ruining our
perfect season. We showed them who the best West Seneca
team was this year. As a team we played excellent and if
we keep playing as a team, we will go far. But now we
have to forget about today and focus on Grand Island on
Saturday. It will be a
tough challenge but I think everyone on our team feels
the same and knows we can beat them. I'm waiting
for the official stats from Mr. Kirsch. I'll get them up
when I receive them. Get some
rest and be ready for practice tomorrow at 12:00.
-- 10/22:
East 6, Niagara Falls 2 - Andy with 4
goals, Micah with 1, and Neil with 1. Assisted by Clay,
John, Jim, and Josh. I'm sure you've all heard that West
beat Sweet Home 1-0 today. Some of you are glad we are
playing West and some, like me, would rather play Sweet
Home. Tomorrow I think we should have a serious
practice. No screwing around or anything because this
next game is going to be one of the toughest of the
season and we need to be ready. Let's put West away once
and for all and prove to them who the better West Seneca
team is.
-- 10/17:
The new issue of Kirsch's Korner is up.
Take a second to read it. The link is on the bottom.
-- 10/16:
East 3, Hamburg 0 - ECIC Division II Champions. We earned this and
deserve every bit of it. There's nothing or no one that
can take that away from you. Sprints, drills, bleachers,
the hill, it all finally paid off and it was worth every
second of it. As soon as they put our year on the
banner, I will get a picture of it and put it on this
site. Goals scored by Cole, Andy, and Micah. Now we
should have a good seeding in the playoffs, so now we
just need to train hard at practice and focus for
whoever our first opponent will be.
-- 10/11:
East 1, Other East 2 (OT) - Another tough game but we played better
than we did yesterday. Kippy with his first goal of the
season. Nothing much else to say.
-- 10/10:
East 0, West 2 - Don't know what to say. It's a tough loss but we
have to forget it. I'm sure West is busy celebrating their biggest win of the
season but that's ok, cause we still have 1st place. They were very desperate
and willing to go to any lengths to win. Tomorrow is a big day. Forget about
school and focus your whole day on tomorrows game. It will be one of our biggest
challenges this year. Completely forget today and focus entirely on tomorrow.
Don't let this loss hold us down, but rather to bring us up as a team and make
us even better.
-- 10/8:
East 3, Lake Shore 2 - Josh with two goals, Cole with one. Assisted
by Neil (2), and Nyugen. Next game is the
one we've been waiting for. So are West. It's their
homecoming and I don't think they want to get swept by
us this year. Especially on their home field. I think it
would be great not only to sweep them, but also ruin
their homecoming. It will be a close game but no matter what
happens we have to win. Under the lights at 7:00.
-- 10/4:
East 2, Sweet Home 1 - Thanks Cole once again for another OT goal.
Should've been another shutout but
there's nothing we can do now to change that. It's too bad that high school soccer can't get a decent official to
ref their games. Also a big congrats to our football team who got shutout by
Pioneer 21-0. Can't even get a couple points for your homecoming football game.
Who's the football team that wins? That's right boys, the varsity soccer team.
-- 10/2:
East 1 (Should've been at least 10), Pioneer 0 - Goal from Clay,
assisted by Micah. Gonna have to step it up for Friday. It's homecoming and
we're playing Sweet Home. Gotta go all out on every play. We have to win the
rest of our games or at least are league games in order to have a good spot for
playoffs. Kirsch's Memorabilia Site is up. The link is on the bottom. If anyone
has any ideas on stuff to put up, tell me and I will.
-- 9/30:
East
1, Hamburg 0 - Cole with the game winner in OT assisted
by Clay. Nothing like waiting till the last minute to
score but we'll take it. We're off to a great start, 5-0
in the league, but the second half is going to be
harder. So in the words of Mr. K, "Your goal isn't
the next game or the next but the final game. Play
each game as if it were the last. Play hard, don't look
back." Some good advice, especially for us seniors.
-- 9/28:
No
soccer stuff to update on, however Kirsch's Korner is up
and an article is in. Check it out. The link is at the
bottom of the page.
-- 9/26:
East 2, West 0. Once again West thinks that they can beat us and are proven wrong. Everyone played sweet. Don't know what to say about Willy South. They're in last in their division, but they have to play Willy East, Amherst, and Iroquois. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
-- 9/24:
East 5, Lake Shore 0. Another one bites the dust. Great game by everyone. Nothin much to say except be ready for West. Later.
-- 9/22:
East 3, Sweet Home 0. There is no doubt in my mind that we will take first in our league this year. Sweet Home is probably the next best team followed by Hamburg. Also if you didn't find out yet, our football team somehow beat Amherst 26-25. I guess 3-20 in the last 4 years insn't bad......
-- 9/19:
East 3, Pioneer 0. 2 Goals from Cole and 1 from Clay. Assisted by Micah, Clay, and Kippy. Way to get off to a good start. I think most of us played well. Now we have Sweet Home on Friday. Last year we tied them 2-2 and then lost 3-0 and the end of the season. They will be a good team but if we play hard, we will beat them. Hamburg and Sweet Home are probly the only competition we have for first place. So get psyched and be ready for a good game.
-- 9/16:
East 0, OP 0. I think this is the first game in the last 5 or 6 years that East has not lost to O.P. so good job on that, but I still think we should've beaten them. Oh well, I guess it's on to Pioneer Wed. This is our first league and there's no reason why we can't finish first in our league this year. Pioneer will be decent and not as bad as you think so don't underestimate them. C-ya later.
-- 9/14:
West 0, East 3. Goals scored by Micah, Clayton, and Sully. Assisted by Kirsch (2), and Clay. Everyone played pretty good, but something just didn't seem right. The team unity just wasn't there and the intensity level was low. If we can start out like we did at Byron Bergen, we will beat OP. They will be pretty much like Byron Bergen. I played on a premiere team with their goalie and one of their mids. They are both pretty good but they shouldn't be anywhere near as good as some of the kids on Lancaster. C-ya guys Monday.
-- 9/13:
What The Hell Happened? I guess Mr. Schmitt was right saying that Lancaster was better than Byron Bergen. We just have to put that behind us and focus on West
tomorrow morning. West will be one of those games where anything will happen so let's show 'em who the better West Seneca team is. See ya in the morning.
-- 9/12:
Congrats to everyone for a job well done at Byron Bergen. I could honestly say that the team played as one and everyone played good. Now we have to focus on Lancaster this Friday. If we beat them it will put us in the top 5 in the rankings. So everyone get a good nights sleep and be ready for Lancaster. C-ya guys later.
