I'm hoping that those who do a search for Build-A-Pipe.com will find this page so they can be forewarned;
IT'S A SCAM OPERATION!
YOU WILL NEVER RECIEVE WHAT YOU ORDERED!
YOU WILL GET NO RESPONSE TO EMAILS OR CALLS!
I placed an order on Dec. 9th, 2007, as of this writing, Jan. 5th, 2008, I have not recieved my order (which on their website was promised by Christmas if ordered by Dec. 10th.
I have not recieved it still a month later!
I've emailed through their website 4 times, two times it failed due to their mailbox being overfull, probably from other people wanting to know where there order is.
I called the number on their invoice they emailed - I got a recording that says "this mailbox does not exist".
I called the number on their website three times. The first time, got an answering machine, left a message - no response.
Called again, somebody answered, I asked if this was build-a-pipe, they hesitated and said "no". I said sorry and hung up, then looked at my outgoing calls and saw that I had in fact dialed the correct number.
So I called back, this time I got the answering machine again.
I repeat!
BUILD-A-PIPE.COM IS A SCAM OPERATION, YOU DO NOT GET WHAT YOU ORDERED FROM THEM!!!
Now I have to go through disputing the charge with the credit card company which will probably be a months long project.
Warning again: DO NOT ORDER FROM BUILD-A-PIPE.COM, IT IS A TOTAL SCAM OPERATION!!!
