Chapter 2

~Later That Day~

Kayla had gone home, and so had I. upon arriving at my house, I remembered that I hadn’t packed for that weekend. My family and I were meeting my aunts, uncles, and cousins, upstate and would spend the weekend there. Although we would only be there for one full day, I still needed a lot of things. Since it was winter and there would be snow, if my outfit got wet, I would have to change it so I don’t get sick. I made that mistake 4 years ago. Me and my cousins were out in the snow, and the bottom of my pants, and my shirt got wet. Instead of changing it, I just let it be, and went along doing whatever. Well, the next day I woke up with a bad cold, which turned out being pneumonia. I wasn’t going to make that mistake again. So, I started packing. 2 suitcases, 4 duffle bags, and 1 messenger bag later, I was done. I packed just about my whole wardrobe, but I would also wear just about all of it.

The next day flew by quickly. Kayla and me hung out again, with a bunch of our friends. We all ended up bored so we went to see a movie. After an hour of arguing, we all decided on seeing ‘The Patriot’. My friend Chelsea wanted to see it more than anything, because Heath Ledger was in it. We all knew that after it we would never hear the end of how supposedly cute he was from her, but we saw it anyway. I actually liked it, though I would never admit it to Chelsea… just as she would never admit to me that she liked ‘Grease’. (Though I know she liked seeing all the guys in it in tight jeans! J) After the movie, we all went out to Mc Donald’s for dinner, and then split up and went home. I made sure to go to bed early because I would be leaving the next day bright and early… at least for me.

11:00 am quickly rolled around. That usually happens though when you’re asleep. Oh well! I had to get showered, dressed, and pack up all the last minute items. I pulled the sheets that had entangled myself in, off of me and hoped into the shower. About 20 min. later, I was out. All fresh and clean! J Now… what shall I wear?? I soon decided on a pair of denim flares, that were too long on me, a white ¾ length shirt, a black jacket on top, and of course… my shoes. They were a pair of black LEI’s, with a 4in. platform, and a 6in. heal. My favorite shoes… excluding my knee high black leather boots. J (Best shoes… love ‘em!) Now all I had to do was finish packing. 1 hour later I was done! Had all the necessities packed and ready to go.

Everything was in the car, and we were ready to go. Thank God this year we were taking two cars, driving almost 3 hours with my family is not a fun thing! L So, I got in the car with my Dad, and my brother. Plopped my butt down on the front seat, put on my headphones, and told them to wake me when we get there.

~3 hours, and 2 round of Eminem Later~

Finally! We were there! I got out of the car, keeping my headphones on, grabbed one of my duffle bags, and went into the building, escaping from the cold and the snow, knowing only minutes later I would be back out in it. That didn’t stop me though. I made my way to the front desk, and waited for my parents to get there, so I could get a key to the room, and put my stuff away, then go find my cousins.

“Laura!!!!” hearing my name, I spun around, seeing my cousin coming straight at me, arms wide open.

“J!” I yelled… me and my cousin hugged. “What’s up chicky?”

“Not much, ya know, school… homework… blah blah blah blah blah! What about you?”

“Absolutley nothing! But what else is new?”

“Your too funny”

“I know, thank you, thank you,” I said bowing to an imaginary audience. “I gotta drag my stuff up to our room, you coming?”

“Sure, why not? Kris is downstairs trying to get number 1 in ‘your’ game… again,”

“Yeah, she can only dream. I can and will get number one!”

“I know, you always do. But there’s this hot guy down there trying to beat her out… as far as I know, he’s succeeding.”

“Hot guy? Where?” I asked looking around.

“Down stairs dumbass… your still after them aren’t you?”

“Of course! When am I not?”

“Good question… lets go. Your parents got you a key.” With that, me and my cousin went upstairs to our room, and threw my stuff in it.

“Wanna go down now?” I asked impatiently.

“Go where?” my mother asked.

“Down to the arcade. When’s dinner?”

“In half an hour. Change now, cause then we gotta go.”

“Ugh… fine! Jen, I gotta change. I’ll meet you at dinner. Ok?” I asked my cousin.

“Sure, catcha lata.”

“Ciao!” I quickly took a shower, changed my clothes, and did my hair and make-up. All with about 3 minites to spare. Record time! I put in my silver hoop earings and put on my silver necklace and was all ready to go. I had on one of my favorite outfits. A pair of denim flares, a white scoop neck shirt that read: Devil, and of course, my boots. I then went downstairs to the lounge to meet my family, and my cousins for dinner.

“Ready?” I asked, after hearing the guy ring the cow bell, signaling that the ‘Longhorn Diner’ as they called it, was now open, and serving dinner.

“Yep, lets go!” my brother said, practicly dragging all of us with him.

“Fine! Lets go!” my cousin said. We all went and sat down at our table. About half way threw dinner, amongst all our laughing and fooling around, we heard someone yell at someone else that we assumed to be a little boy til we heard his voice.

“Nickolas and Brian! Eat the broccali! Now!” A man with a deep voice said.

“But I don’t like it!” another man whined back.

“Neither do I! Why do we have to eat it?” another man whined as well.

“Cause I said so… now eat! Or no ice cream!” The guy with the deep voice said again.

“Oh man! I hate you Kev!” One of the two men whining said.

I looked over to see what was going on and saw five of the most gorgous guys ever. But the one that really caught my eye had gorgous blond hair, and blue eyes that anyone could get lost in. I found him… the one. The one I had asked Santa for…
