1. Installation

  1. Unzip the file name Parskivvvv.zip to a temporary directory. Where 'vvvv' is the version of the product. (example: Parski10a0.zip)

  2. Make sure it contains the following files:
    <Your Temp Dir>/wabavm-palm.10b:
    WABA 1.0b PalmOS files
        waba.prc
        waba.pdb 
    WABA 1.0b WinCE files waba.lnk waba.wrp WABA license agreement license.txt <Your Temp Dir>/bin: Parski files for PalmOS devices Parski.pdb Parski.prc Parski files for WinCE devices Parski.lnk Parski.wrp <Your Temp Dir>/docs: Parski readme file Readme.txt Parski User's Manual userman.htm
  3. Use Palm Desktop or similar software to install Parski and Waba vm files.

  4. Once you have sync your device, run the software by clicking on the Parski icon.

2. Options Tab

  1. There are two possible color that you can select: WHITE or BLACK or more likely open circle or black filled circle. Clicking on the button will XOR between colors.

  2. By clicking on the (Radio buttons) circles, you can select if a player is the computer or a human. (Note: you can not select both players as computers.)

  3. The Computer level button will allow to change how tough the computer will play.

  4. When you done configuring your options, click on New Game button to start the game.



3. Game Tab

    Once you start a new game, you'll know it's your turn when you see the shaded blocks. The shaded blocks indicate the possible moves you can play. The game is over when the board has been filled or when either players don't have any more possible moves. (Note: for more information please refer to the Rules Of Othello).



4. Score Tab

    The score tab displays the Players' disc color, type, number of discs and average score. It also shows a counter for the number of games you have played. You can click on the score tab anytime during game play. (Note: you can click on any of the tabs just as long as the computer is waiting for user input).



5. Help Tab

    On the Help tab you can check the current version of the game. You can also find guide lines to where you can find more information about the game.



6. Rules of Parski

    Parski's rules are the same as Othello. So if you know how to play Othello you know how to play Parski. You can get an overview of the rules at Rainfall.com.



6. Trouble Shooting

If you having problems running Parski you may want to follow some of these steps.
  1. Make sure you have a working copy of Parski and the Waba vm. You can go to http://www.wabasoft.com and download WABA vm for you favorite PDA device. They also have some information to make sure that WABA vm is working properly on your PDA.

  2. Read the FAQs. Your questions may have been answered before.

7. Frequent Ask Questions (FAQs)

Q: I received an "Out of Object Memory" message while running Parski?
A: if you get this message, sent me an e-mail with a brief description of how it happend.

Q: I click on the Parski icon but nothing happends?
A: Make sure you have the latest version the waba vm installed properly. Visit http://www.wabasoft.com for more information. (Note: I have only tested Parski on waba versions 1.0 and 1.0b).
