A man has been arrested and accused of torturing and killing a dog that was tied to a vehicle and dragged, and then taped to the steering wheel of another vehicle and left to die.
Thirty-seven-year-old Mark Allen Starcher of Pond Gap was charged today with one count of felony animal cruelty.
Lieutenant Jess Bailes with the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department says Starcher is being held at the South Central Regional Jail. All-terrain vehicle riders found the dog's body on Monday near Sanderson. Its front paws and chest cavity had been taped to the steering wheel of an abandoned sport utility vehicle. Patches of skin were torn off and bone was exposed near the left shoulder. The back of the skull had been impaled with an object, possibly a screw driver. Officers with the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association said the dog likely was alive when someone taped it to the steering wheel because its paws were swollen, indicating blood was still flowing.
Does reading this make you mad? Is your heart and soul crying out for justice for this poor tortured hound? Please sign the petition to encourage Prosecutor Michael T. Clifford, Esq. to give the maximum jail time and mandatory psychological counseling to this animal abuser, Mark Allen Starcher and to not permit him to ever have an animal in his possession.
Undercover investigators documented warehouses in China filled to capacity with skins and pelts awaiting shipment to the US, Russia and the EU.
Asian merchants bragged that they could fraudulently label any item to confuse consumers, dye it to appear as though it was faux fur (or even mink) or not label it at all.
The US banned the import, export, sale and production of cat and dog fur in the US in 2002 -- when evidence was shown that dog fur was being sold on parka jackets at the Burlington Coat Factory and on cat figurines on sale at Hallmark. Both retailers had no idea the items contained real fur.

MADISON, Wis. - Feline lovers holding pictures of cats, clutching stuffed animals and wearing whiskers faced-off against hundreds of hunters at meetings around Wisconsin to voice their opinion on whether to legalize cat hunting.
Residents in 72 counties were asked whether free-roaming cats — including any domestic cat that isn't under the owner's direct control or any cat without a collar — should be listed as an unprotected species. If listed as so, the cats could be hunted.
The proposal was one of several dozen included in a spring vote on hunting and fishing issues held by the Wisconsin Conservation Congress. The results, only advisory, get forwarded to the state Natural Resources Board.
Statewide results were expected Tuesday.
La Crosse firefighter Mark Smith, 48, helped spearhead the cat-hunting proposal. He wants Wisconsin to declare free-roaming wild cats an unprotected species, just like skunks or gophers. Anyone with a small-game license could shoot the cats at will.
At least two other upper Midwestern states, South Dakota and Minnesota, allow wild cats to be shot — and have for decades. Minnesota defines a wild, or feral, cat as one with no collar that does not show friendly behavior, said Kevin Kyle with that state's Department of Natural Resources.
Every year in Wisconsin alone, an estimated 2 million wild cats kill 47 million to 139 million songbirds, according to state officials. Despite the astounding numbers, Smith's plan has been met with fierce opposition from cat lovers.
Critics of Smith's idea organized Wisconsin Cat-Action Team and developed a Web site — dontshootthecat.com. Some argue it is better to trap wild cats, spay or neuter them, before releasing them.
In Madison, about 1,200 people attended the Monday evening meeting at the Alliant Center — more than the 250 or so in a typical year, but less than the 3,000 or so who took part in a debate in 2000 over whether to allow hunters to shoot mourning doves.
One of the attendees was Katy Francis, who wore cat ears, whiskers, a cat nose and a sign that read, "Too Cute to Kill." For Francis, "The cat hunting thing brought me out because it was very extreme."

Chemtrails short for Chemical Trails are often thought to be Contrails.
Contrails (not Chemtrails) are the airplane's exhaust. The airplane's exhaust increases the amount of moisture in the air, which can push the water content of the air past saturation point. This causes condensation to occur, and the contrail to form. The atmosphere contains water (which is why rain occurs) and although most aero-engines are thought of as running on a fuel such as petrol/gasoline (piston engines) or paraffin/kerosene (jet engines) they actually use a mixture of fuel and air, the air being taken from the atmosphere.
But unlike Chemtrails, Contrails dissipate after a few seconds and are never seen again (as is shown in the video "Aerosol Crimes"). Just like vapor that comes from your mouth on a cold morning it last only seconds, so to should Contrails last in the sky as the water evaporates. It is unnatural for so called "Contrails" to linger in the skies hours after it was created by the plane. Chemtrails on the other hand linger hours and hours after the fact and form synthetic clouds. (Please watch the video posted above to see footage of a Contrail along with a Chemtrail and proves they are two different phenomena. Also, the video gives a good scientific explanation why Contrails should not linger in the sky for hours and create a synthetic cloud.)
So why the big deal over Chemtrails? If it's not water vapor that we are seeing in our skys, then what are we seeing? Clearly it is something big; big enough to form right before our very own eyes. Just look up on any given sunny day. Do you see them in your town?
"North America is now suffering its seventh year of conspicuous and dangerous aerosol and electromagnetic operations conducted by the U.S. government under the guise of national security. Concerned citizens watch in fear as military tankers discolor the skies with toxic chemicals that morph into synthetic clouds.
We continually witness bizarre meteorological occurrences as powerful electromagnetic devices manipulate both the jet stream and individual storm fronts to create artificial weather and climatic conditions. Black operations projects embedded within these aerosol missions are documented to sicken and disorient select populations with biological test agents and psychotronic mind/mood control technologies.
Part of what is happening in the atmosphere above us involves the Pentagon's secret space weapons program, designed for strategic, operational and tactical levels of war. NASA missions will soon be transferred to Pentagon control.1 The Air Force Space Command declares that, in order to monitor and shape world events, it must fight intense, decisive wars with great precision from space.2 Air Force Secretary James G. Roche has stated: "Space capabilities are integrated with, and affect every link in the kill chain."
A glimpse into new death technologies under construction is in legislation introduced by Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinch. His unsuccessful Space Preservation Act of 2001 was intended to ban space deployment of:
* electronic, psychotronic and information weaponry
* high altitude ultra low frequency weapons
* plasma, electromagnetic, sonic and ultrasonic weapons
* laser weapons
* strategic, theater, tactical or extraterrestrial weapons
* chemical biological, environmental climate or tectonic weapons
* chemtrails (this item was stricken from a later version, suggesting duress)
...as is reported at: www.bariumblues.com a website who as kept up with the phenomena.
So what is in these Chemtrails? The video explains this but I will try here as short as posable. No one knows for sure. There have been many tests done from samples collected by grassroots operations. Some test reveals large traces of aluminum, mole, glass fibers and even human blood cells. This could be the cause of many respiratory illnesses that have sky rocked in the last 6years (chemtrails were first reported in the late 90s).
There is tons of dis-information on the matter. NASA's webpage titled "Contrail Education" even encourges the study of these "Contrails":
"Why is it important to study contrails?
Clouds are the largest variable controlling Earth's atmospheric temperature and climate. Any change in global cloud cover may contribute to long-term changes in Earth's climate. Likewise, any change in Earth's climate may have effects on natural resources. Contrails, especially persistent contrails, represent a human-caused increase in the Earth's cloudiness, and are likely to be affecting climate and ultimately our natural resources.
What type of contrail is most interesting to scientists?
Scientists are most interested in persistent contrails because they form long-lasting and sometimes extensive clouds that would not normally have formed in the atmosphere.
Then it goes on to say what they mean by a "persistent contrail":
Persistent contrails look like long white lines that remain visible after the airplane has disappeared. This shows that the air where the airplane is flying is full of moisture, and there is a large amount of water vapor available to form a contrail. Persistent contrails can be further divided into two classes: those that spread and those that don't. Persistent contrails look like long, narrow white pencil-lines across the sky.
But as I stated above and as the video "Aerosol Crimes" (posted about) shows, contrails should not linger in the sky in that manner. That goes aganist the laws of nature.
Please, I urge you too look into this yourself and most of all look into it with an open mind. Our people of this planet might be in great danger and the threat is right in front of our face!
The largest commercial slaughter of marine mammals on the planet has begun. By the end of this year’s hunt, more than 300,000 seals will have been brutally killed—many of them babies as young as 12 days old. Some of them will have been skinned while still conscious and able to feel pain. Stand with us today and stop the seal hunt forever by joining the Canadian seafood boycott. Check out HSUS and learn more about it. Boycott Canadian Seafood and hopefully we'll send them a message!

Chickens were the basis of a bill, later withdrawn, on more humane killing standards.
SACRAMENTO – The powerful farm lobby yesterday blocked legislation that would have barred ranchers from killing chickens by feeding them into wood chippers, a practice described by animal rights activists as barbaric.
The measure grew out of a highly publicized incident in San Diego County in which ranch hands tossed thousands of live chickens into a shredder built to cut wood into small pieces.
But the bill also would have imposed broader humane killing standards for other farm animals, prohibiting the industry from burning, burying, drowning, suffocating or freezing livestock.
Assemblywoman Lori Saldana, D-San Diego, retreated rather than ask for a vote after a hostile reception in the Assembly Agriculture Committee.
"We'll have to take another look at it, probably next year," she said.
The rest of the story is here, on Animal Concerns Community.
I had to remake this whole page so don't worry, there's plenty more to come.
