As Rochester area residents and animal lovers, we have founded this group to help form a closer working network of the local animal rescue organizations. We have SO many great organizations and people in the area, and if we work together we can help even more animals! Our group members include those involved with domestic animal rescue and individual Coalition volunteers. We arrange transports if shelters/rescue groups are full and need another group to step in as a temporary home for an animal, if they need help placing an animal, need help with a transport going to, from or through the Greater Rochester/Finger Lakes area, would like to spread awareness about your rescue, or just general information regarding the local animal rescue effort!!! What we're asking from the public is for their time and committment, and to open up their loving homes to foster animals. If you want to become a vital part of the animal rescue community, but have limited time for meetings/scheduled volunteer work, then considering becoming a foster home and taking in animals temporarily while the local rescue groups find a forever home for them.
