Marty Blaze first arrived in the A.I.W.A in the spring of 1997 and was instantly spotted as a great addition to the A.I.W.A . At first he joined 4 Horseman(Led by Jose The Duke).But after a few months grew tired and got out.Shortly after leaving that group he was instantly put into a #1 contenders match for the A.I.W.A World Title , up against "The Heartbreak Con" Chris Knight.In what was a classic battle he did not come out triumphant.But what he did was earn Chris Knight's respect.He joined forces with him and Mike Blade to rid the A.I.W.A of The Unholy Alliance.
He went out and won the very first "SKYWARS"which comprised of Marty,Allen Knight,Chris Knight and Mike Blade, and he came out victorious.Marty Blaze then was on a winning streak .Then went on and won the 1998 Royal Riot amid controversy.Then at Manhattan Mayhem V he defeatd former friend and partner "H.B.C"Chris Knight for the A.I.W.A World Championship.
From then on he was considered the A.I.W.A's top babyface .That was until the fall 0f '99 when he morphed into what he calls himself the"Master of Performance".Believing that no one cared about being in shape he turned on the fans and ha since told the fans that he is".0001% of the population that is physically fit to survive".From then on he was the promotions premiere heel.
Over the years Marty Blaze had the most memborable feuds with Chris Knight,Allen Knight,Bishop,Deitrich Davis and Mike Blade.
The question is ...Is this A.I.W.A legend goin to return to home?
