This is Dean's current bio. in the broadway playbill from RENT:

DEAN ARMSTRONG (Swing/Understudy) is thrilled to be making his Broadway debut with Rent. With a Theatre School in Toronto, Dean is a graduate of Queen’s University with an honors degree in Dramatic Art and a degree in Education. Recent credits: The Glace Bay Miner’s Museum, Twelfth Night (Magnus), The Last Tasmanian (TNB), Treasure Island (YPT) and performances with The Shaw Festival/Buddies in Badtimes and at The Second City. Dean can be seen throughout this season on Showtime in the role of “Blake” in the American adaptation of “Queer as Folk”. Dean feels he is once again blessed to be working with such an incredible cast and team in yet another original and remarkable piece of theatre. Much love to family, friends, and students!
