The 2004 World Series has offically been postponed until the weather clears up which is set for the end of next month. Here is Turnpike Stadium picture taken this past Saturday 1/22 when Turnpike Stadium got hit with nearly 2 feet of snow. It is a little worse in Philly and for both teams, temperatures hitting a low in the teens with a lot of snow only made sense to postpone as a real solid MLB jr. game would be very difficult to be taken place in such a poor playing atmosphere.
So as of tomorrow 1/25 the 2005 season begins, which means trades, deals, and pick-ups may take place! Any free agents will have up until 1/28 to be offered a contract from their current team before they can negotiate with other teams. They have until 2/14 to resign with their former team or they cannot renegotiate until after the teams second game of the regular season. Rosters have to be finalized by 2/28 for the start of the 2005 season or any left over payroll is terminated. Every team has to have the 20 man roster on board as well.
