news206/ Yankees dish out a royal beating - captures Game 1 ; 11-0 [09.20.04]mon.[7:19 PM]
Game 1 was live from Turnpike Stadium on 09.19.04. Alaxs Aminis was on the hill to lead New York against the Royals. Aminis pitched yet another perfect game to add to his storied career as a Yankee. He struckout 11 in 4 innings with 38 of 48 pitches for strikes. (79% strikes) The only other out the Royals made was put into play. Yes only one ball the Royals managed to put in play and it was a high chopper to 2nd. John Black hit his 500th career homerun when he connected for a grand slam! Never before someone getting their 500th HR on a long ball. Rudy also took one deep for his 820th of his career and Ben Clark hit #495, 496 of his career going multi-homeruns in game 1, one being a grand slam. It looks like no one can stop the 10 time defending World Champions. Expect another sweep, another win, for the Yankees when game 2 approaches us.
