news193/ Cincinnati gets a new field and new player, Astros walk tall while batting .603! [08.12.04]thu.[12:35am]
Tonight while MLB jr. stars such as Rudy, Raydogg, CH, and DeWitt were running cross country Curtis Bell sounded interested in The League and wanted in. He made the Reds team via a try out. It appears the Reds will be getting a new stadium. They'll be kissing GMC PARK goodbye while it has been their home field since 2003. Curtis Bell will play right field and wear number 23. The Reds are 6-3 thus far currently owning sole possession of the NL Wildcard.
The Houston Astros played 4 games today and won all of them. Their biggest winw as beating the Red Sox 16-7 while Bishoff pitched terrible yet again. Former 21-1 all-star then a Reds pitcher just does not have it this year. The game was a 2 inning game and the Sox were coming back. If it was a full 4 inning game MLBjr.tk's prodiction of the outcome would have been 22-17 Astros win. Such a high scoring game? Of course, the wind was blowing like crazy out to CF and the Astros in the day hit about 7 out of the stadium. Astros are now hitting .603 as a team! Sefcikz the ML leading .696 batting average needs to go 1-1 to bat over .700 (.708). The single season batting average record was made last season when the Yankees' Rudy hit .674 in 17 games being the seasons length.
