As many of you know, Tim Stewart is on thin ice with the Philadelphia Phillies, then team he is playing left field for. Now he is not on thin ice in a personal stand point, it's all in a public stand point. As T-Stew is now ranked by having the second worst repuatation in MLB jr. Stew is known for not like following the rules may be leaving Philly. Owner Trevor Osgood is unsure what he'll do with the situation, Brett Bernard the team captain is said to be highly in favor of Osgood releasing T-Stew, and Peter Brock the teams center fielder is actually in favor of keeping Tim. Here is what Brock had to say on this situation. Yes we all know Tim Stewart does not like to follow the rules, therfore he gets himself into trouble, however, that is no reason to judge a player by what he does off the field. It's all what he does on it, and Stewart is putting together one heck of a season. How about we just ignore his personal life and just play. He may be making our team look a little bit bad but without him we may start to play a little bit bad. He helps carry the team this season, i just hope when it's all said and done he will be apart of the 2004 National League Championship Phillies team.
Well we have gotten some people's opinions on this but now it's time for the facts. How many players can you name that has consistant power and speed? That hits the long ball and takes a few bags? Yes, there aren't too many of those players out there. The only ones i can think of play for the Yankees and the Phillies. Why take away another one of those players from a Philly team when a team like the Yankees can go right back and pick him up? In the '01-'02 season Tim Stewart stole 107 bases in 99 games. Yes, he's that good. His power numbers started to grow that season and now he's up there with 4 this year and is on pace for about 11 homers in this 24 game season. "Do not judge a player by his actions off the field, judge their actions on it."
Tim Stewart was asked what if he was released by the Phillies and this is what he had to say. "Yo man i been hearring that bulls*** and if yea ask me all i gotta say iz if they let me go whoeva signs me they not only be gettin a 1st class all-star but they be gettin a world series ring"
T-Stew has also mentioned the only teams he would go and play for would be either the Yankees, Braves, or the A's.
