[08.01.04]sun.[6:09am]
Phillies trade 2B-84 Terrence Vunde of their AAA team to the Reds for 2B-37 Homer Wouky. Former gold glove winner Vunde goes to the Reds and the Phillies get a player that they really need and want, that is someone that can pinch run and bunt when its despritly needed. Pinch runners and sac bunting will pay off in the playoffs. As the Yankees particially beat the Phillies this year back on May 23rd from pinch running and stealing bases. Yankees need some better bunters as if you people have forgotten. DJ Cruz Jr. was trying to lay down a bunt to move Jason Gonzalez to 2nd in the bottom of the 5th but failed twice then he was forced to swing away 0-2, fouled a pitch off then next pitch hits the wall-off homer and Yankees win. Bunters are needed though you cannot wait for that big moment homerun. Phillies after making the deal 8 minutes later decide to send down former closer and now set up man Kevin Maine the 38-year-old to AAA. "The Maine Atraction" needs to go back to Scranton and work on his control before Osgood brings him back up.
