Jose Rodriguez, currently the DH for the Athletics after moving there from 2B where he's been since 2001 once Nathan Van Scoter took over the team at that spot. Jose has some very rough comments he would like to say to CH Harris and his ballclub. "I'm very offended what CH Harris had to say about the reason he never signed me, incase you do not know what he said, he said, the only way he would sign me is if i changed my name, a name like Francisco. Well i've got news for him, that is bull****. What right does he have to say change your name to anyone that's been in this league way longer than he has. I've been here since 1997, he came last year. He may be older than me but i'm a veteran he's the rookie. I really can't wait to play is his team again because i can't wait to see what he could of had when i go yard off his 6'6" b****a**. I would never, EVER consider a trade to Houston as long as CH Harris is running the place. He has no respect for a Rodriguez, and certainly has no respect for a Jose". Ok that's what Jose Rodriguez had to say, i'm sure he's cooled off by now, well, atleast with that situation.
Last night Jose hit 4th for the A's in his A's debut and CH was on the mound. He never heard CH's comments why he didn't sign him intil today, when he never got signed by the Astros he just figured his 1 year 25 million contract was too high so he looked other places. He found a place in Oakland where he thought he'd fit in great and would feel at home, all intil Slifka the pitcher got an idea to remove Jose in the game the next time he came up, certainly that happened and they pinched hit Ed Wilson for a guy that played 97 games in 01-02 with 63 homers, 133 runs batted in, batting .431 with 20 stolen bases and a good attitude. Jose was furious at Slifka and Scoter because Scoter is the one that took him out. Jose did not show any anger but showed it inside. He thought that was the dumbest move ever when your playing the Astros in a tight game to get your best hitter taken out. Jose is the best A, if u go with past performances you would know. Although he went 0-1 with a K vs. CH Harris he was bound to give CH a ride if he got his two at bats he would of had. I'm not saying he would of went yard but the park is small and turf so good chance for some kind of hit.
People are starting to talk about Kevin Cylburn's swing as of late. In 3 games 8 at bats he has no HR or RBI, last season with the Dodgers for the season he played 22 G, 10 HR, 41 RBI, .316 AVG, 25-79, 12 R, 15 BB, 2 2B, 1 3B, 1 GrS. Not a huge season, if you want huge lets take a look at 01-02. Cylnburn 65 HR, 178 RBI, .418 AVG in 94 G.
