Tonight's game between the Astros and Athletics broke a record. By the end of the night there were a total of 8 hit batsman. 3 by CH Harris, 1 by J.C. Tewell, 1 by Jermey Slifka, 2 by Hayward Octavio, and 1 by Troy Cruz.
Tonight live at Howlett Hill Park it was soldout between the visiting Astros and the A's. After one inning Astros are leading 1-0, on Eric Sefcikz's RBI single. In the top second the Stros tack on another run off the bat of Sefcikz, once again another RBI single. After two it's 2-0 Astros. Then we go to the top third and Willie Kinns turns on the first pitch driving the ball 169' into the left field stands for a 2-run shot. In the bottom third rookie making his debut, Trey Ford hits a 2-run shot to right field going 164' to get on the board, they are down 4-2 and it's in the top 4th the Astros pull out with 6 more runs and then the A's get 1 in the bottom 4th but not enough to defeat the Astros, A's lose 10-3. Slifka gets the loss (0-1) and CH gets the win (2-1).
Jose Rodriguez struckout vs. CH tonight on a full count and then when he was up deck going to his 2nd at bat the A's decide to take Jose out because they didn't think he could do it. Jose was offended and was planning on quitting the team. He said he will give them one more chance because they said they want him back.
Dan Cornish is dead... RJ Cornish is living... that's right, Cornish will no longer be called Dan it's now RJ, speaking of RJ he took a fastball to the forehead tonight. We have no idea on the condition he is in but we hear he's recovering pretty good.
