MLBjr.tk (3:17:07 PM): Bernard, today live at 2:45pm on the bus you stated you will play for the Phillies for free, why did you say that and are you crazy?!
Bernard (3:18:32 PM): i feel like i dont need anymore money and i wanna just play for the love of the game and help the team out financially
(now they have enough money for Raydogg!)
There have been many off season trades thus far. Today the Astros picked up AL RBI leader in 2003, from Oakland, Rob Hordic to a 5y/90m and he will receive 18m a season. Houston traded him for one of the best closers in the game, Hoolio Beniez. One minute later the A's traded Beniez to Boston for Troy Cruz. They planned this trade last night as if it would happen and it did. The Boston Red Sox by far has had the best off season pick ups. They traded over 400 HR in Ryan Williams for Nathan Neuman and his career 627 HR! They traded John Welch and Tyler Olcott, combined 500 HR for the single season wins leader and arguably the best NL pitcher ever, Germane Cruz! They also traded reliever Chris Matthews for the best set up man in history, Craig Barlet, whom doubles his k's to innings ratio. They traded their closer Gary White to Cincinnati for Troy Cruz whom they traded 2 days later to Oakland for Hoolio. They traded their CF star, Shawn Kabloz Jr. to Colorado for DH/3B Martin Bohza whom has racked up around 500 HR in his career. And finally the Red Sox traded catcher Joe Webber to Seattle for catcher Joe Cukor. Don't forget the Red Sox still have Scott Jacks, captain Brian Bishoff, Greg Mouton, Abdulkareem and some more rising stars! This 2004 Red Sox team has around 2000 career HR as a team. Just for the record the Yankees roster has a combined 2800 career HR, however the Yankees are all full a veterans and without Rudy, Neuman, Clark, Black they would have around 400 career HR.
