The character I enjoyed the most was
Jurgis. Even though he was sick, he still was the man of the house.
For example when he found out that his wife was rape, he immediately went
into a rage and protected her. Even with all of his flaws, Jurgis
still gets respect from me because he always takes on his responsibilities
and faces his problems head on. Another character that I enjoyed
was Ona. She was a very hard worker and went through alot.
Throughout these four chapters, you can see that she had to bear alot.
She worked hard, kept a good household, and even though she got raped,
she kept her head high. These two characters got a great deal of
respect from me.

As I read about
Jurgis' reaction to Ona's rape I am reminded of my brother. The man
of the house is always supposed to protect the woman in the family and
that is just what Jurgis and my brother do. If I had any problem,
my brother would always have the solution. And since my father has
passed away, my brother has been like a father figure to me. It makes
me proud to know that there are people like Jurgis and my brother around.

My first impression of this work is that it would be too
hard to do, takes too much time to get it done ,and are my group members
and I going to work hard to get the work done. As the days went by
I thought that I was going to drop out of the class because the work was
too hard but Ruby my group member told me to stay strong and keep doing
your work . Do not give up because you already made it this far.
So I continued to progress in my english studies and now we finished the
drawing for our theme, we are composing our cover sheet, we are all doing
our dialogues, and we are working sufficiently.I enjoyed working with my
group and I hope that we get the grade we deserve.
What is confusing me most is did Jurgis's wife died?
I feel that this particualr part of the book was not easy. I was
confused as to whether or not will Jurgis move on with his life?
He seemed to be a confused man himself and was very scared of his own identity.
Also that I was confused with the assignments that had to be done.
What I now understand is that the book was a very interesting
book after all, unions are important to people all overthe world (especially
the unskilled), that good quality of work always matters, and be yourself.
What happened to me as I readI found out that he ended
up in jail because he assaukted someone and suffered for his ignorance.
He did things that were out of the norm and he suffered because of his
impartial behavior.
I enjoyed (this character, setting, or section of writing)
because I really did not enjoy this cahpter. There were not enough
detailing for my group also that we did not have enough time to give sufficent
details on the cahpter. I enjoyed the last two chapters because they
had more of a meaning to me and that it had many morals to follow up on,
and most of all that it gave a message to people in different ways.
