"Bruce Campbell- the KING!"

Welcome to "Hailing to the King- Bruce Campbell"!

This site was created out of pure admiration and appreciation for Mr Campbell.

This man has been a major influence on me, helping me decide what I wanted to attempt for my life- Acting.

For that, I thank you,Bruce.

Now- on to the Bruce stuff!

Bruce has appeared in countless films, his most infamous being the now-cult classic trilogy "Evil Dead"s.

Here's a picture of that gullible lunk head Ash.

Bruce has also appeared as a reoccuring character on Hercules and Xena, the incredibly funny and charismatic Autolycus.

Bruce has also done many other works. Here are some quick pics of him in other roles.

Now, for more stuff.

BRUCE AND SAM

Bruce and Sam Raimi have been friends since high school. They met in an acting class, being paired to do a mime improv. Neither had any idea what the other was doing. (Sounds like my acting class last semester..)

Both have always had a fascination with the Three Stooges. This shows in much of both's work, especially in their doubled efforts on things such as the Evil Dead trilogy, Xena, and Hercules.

Here's two such examples:

Check out this scene from AOD.. 3 Stooges homage.

Now, when Bruce was handed the director's cap for an episode of Xena while working with Ted Raimi (Sam's little brother, Aka "Joxer"), he continued the 3 Stooges references.

He used staging directions like "keep Shemping like you did in (one of the old super8's)" and "Do that Larry thing", also referencing Sam's old camera tricks to mean movements, such as "Vaso-glide left to show Xena".

This information was paraphrased from Bruce's book "If Chins Could Kill".

(And people wondered why I said I'd never want Bruce to direct me. I'd have no clue what he's talking about!)

The Wes Craven Thing

I've read about 376 messages about the "The Hills Have Eyes" Poster being in Evil Dead. Pick up a copy of Bruce's book, people, and the truth shall be revealed. It is NOT a knock against him, its a little gag between Wes and Sam.

Sam saw a ripped poster of "Jaws" In "THHE" and thought he would play back on it by doing the same in ED. Wes retaliated with ED playing in one of the Freddy movies. Find out what Sam did back by getting Bruce's book. (Thats right, I'm not gonna tell you. Go pay Bruce.)

Evil Dead 4

It's been shot. Really. Shot, edited, and being viewed. It just.. wasn't with who you think it was...

I created "Evil Dead 4:Don't Tell Sam" for a final project in TV class.
