Hej allihopa,
För en tid sedan skickade någon följande dikt, av Harry Norberg, till mig.
Det passar väldigt bra till vad Fr.Johnny
skrev den här veckan.
STÖRST ÄR KÄRLEKEN
Allt vad du i kärlek ger,
allt vad du i kärlek ser.
Colette

Dear Friends,
We are fast coming to the end of another Liturgical Year. Every week
as I prepare this for you it strikes me how fast a week goes. I hope
everything is going well with you and with those you love. Attached is
the Couple Prayer/Newsletter piece for the coming week. I hope it is
alright for you. You will be in my prayers each day this week that God
may be with you to speak his love into your heart.

Jesus said to his disciples: “This poor widow has put more in than all who have contributed to the treasury”. Today we judge the importance of things by how much they cost. And we also judge the importance of people by how wealthy they are. Jesus gives us a different way of judging, namely by how generous a person is. Generosity is one of the best signs of how free people are within themselves because the greatest freedom is to love with our whole hearts. So many things block that freedom in us, particularly our need to protect our possessions and to increase them. In the person of the poor widow, Jesus gives us the example of complete freedom. This week we are invited to practice this freedom in our homes and in our community by giving time and attention to one another. We are also asked to give to those in need in our world. How free are you to be generous?
God of power
and mercy
protect us
from all harm.
Give us
freedom of spirit and health in mind
and in body
to do your work on earth.
We ask this
through Christ our Lord.
During
the day, when apart
God of mercy,
accept the gift of our love.
Help us to
follow Christ with love
so that our
marriage may be filled with joy.
We ask this
through Christ Our Lord.
Evening/Night
Prayer together
Lord, we
thank you for the wonders of your love.
Pour out your
Spirit on us.
Keep us
single-minded in our love for one another
and in our
service of you.
We ask this
through Christ our Lord. Amen.

us. Amen.

Please pray for a husband and wife who
are going through a marriage separation; pray for the hurt and pain to ease,
communication to open up and healing to begin between them.
10. Prayer
to St. Gerard for my husband Christopher who says his love for me is gone. He
says it is not like when we first met. He feels he is an awful person and does
not deserve to be loved. I pray to God every day to hold his heart in his
hands.
11. My
marriage is on the brink of separation and financial ruin because of a
(serious) lack of honesty and commitment from my husband. We are in desperate need of God's miraculous
grace to save us! I have five children
who are affected by this. "St.
Michael the Archangel, defend us...."
12. I
kindly ask you to pray that God will grant me grace to see my wedding day. I
also pray that God will pour out His blessing bountifully on my fiancé. I pray
also for safe travel for my spouse.
13. Please
pray for a Church of Scotland couple who have asked us to keep them in our
hearts. They are in love but have
distance and financial difficulties making it hard for them to plan a
future. They sound like a very beautiful
couple. Their email was lengthy so I am
summarising it here.
14. Please
pray for my daughter and her husband. They have two children she is going
through a bad time, he tells her to leave as he doesn’t love her any more. He
doesn’t want counselling. Please pray that things will change. I’m very worried
about her. Thank you.

One of our
major undertakings in Love is for Life Trust is working with couples preparing
for marriage. It is a great joy and we
have a very good residential programme for it. These weekends are held in Esker Retreat
House, Athenry, Co. Galway. If you know of couples getting married in
Ireland please encourage them to look up our website for dates for this year: www.loveisforlife.com
