Housing is an important leg on the "stool".
A person in treatment but who lives on the street cannot be expected to
remain sober for long. Likewise, obtaining employment without having a
permanent address is nearly impossible.
Clients entering the PYHIT umbrella of
programs are immediately placed into supportive or transitional housing.
Once their treatment and training are completed, they are usually eligible
for one of the many low-cost apartments available throughout New York.
