Sandy Corey

Sandy was born and raised in Peekskill, NY. She has 2 children(daughter & son) and 5 grandchildren, 3 girls and 2 boys, who live in New Hampshire. Sandy comes from a square dancing family. Her parents started dancing in 1978 and Sandy started in 1979. Both of her children started dancing when they were 7 and 10. Today, they are so busy that they are not involved in dancing anymore.

Sandy started out calling in 1985, give or take a year. When Randy Page saw a need for more callers in the Hudson Valley area. Most of our callers at that time were "imported" from out of state. He started a local caller's class which Sandy attended, and the rest is history!

Sandy didn't think she'd like teaching square dancing, and wanted to become a traveling caller. "But the most satisfying thing is dancing with the dancers you've taught and seeing them smile."
