The Uniqueness of the Area
Every neighborhood, that I have visited, I realized that there is nothing
that can be compared
with my neighborhood. I notice that my neighborhood, have a very unique
aspect to make it
stands out from the rest of the neighborhoods. Yet, sometimes it makes
me confuse,what is my
neighborhood consider of ? Can it be called Heart of Chinatown, Littly
Italy, or SOHO?
Let me describe my neighborhood. As it is located in the middle intersect
of Chinatown,
Little Italy, and SOHO, no wonder it attracts many tourist each year. Therefore,
it is very diverse,
that can be seen with different cultures restraunants and stores within
the neighborhood. My building
is located on Broome Street and Mott Street, which is very convienent for
me to do some shopping
and experience the pleasure surroundings, especially at night, where the
lights that is put out from Little
Italy from the fancy restraunants. Two blocks from my building, is SOHO
where I can shop till I drop,
with many differents stores, like GAP, Old Navy, Jcrew, Banana Republic,
and Guess, that is just to
name few name brand stores. One block down towards Mott Street, is Chinatown,
where I can get a
little taste of my own culture. The antique shops, the vendors food
for only a dollar, which can last me
a whole afternoon, the gift shops with unique ornanments for the room and
great cute gifts for you friends
for special ocassions. The walk left from my building, I can experience
the culture of Italy, where it is call
the Little Italy, where feastival is always occuring, during the spring
and summer time, the toursit can sit out
and experience the uniqueness of the neighborhood. Little Italy is loacted
on Mulberry, where about two
blocks are entire filled with fancy and elegant restraunants.
If you were to live in my neighborhood, you would defintely enjoy the diversity,
because even
though it is diversity, yet everyone are treated and given respect to each
other culture uniqueness. Would
you consider my neighborhood, SOHO, Heart of Chinatown, or Little Italy,
or shall let it be called
something like " The Diversity Neighborhood"?
