Two views above facing south, halfway
between 59th Street and the aptly named Rust, given the rustbelt
nature of the area's industry and appearance. A rather prominent
promenade has been provided alongside the vehicular action, for
pedestrains to also bypass the two at-grade rail crossings, and
to do so in relative shade. The traffic seen here was a veritable
jam compared with the ghostly absence of activity for much of
the time I spent shooting here.
Third shot faces north towards 59th
Street. I practically had to beg for traffic to avoid having
Twilight Zone-like depopulated shots. 7/14/2001.
