T'was A Sheep

I Wish I Could Take Credit For Authorship Of This Poem T'was a sheep, not a lamb that went astray in the parable that Jesus told T'was a grown-up sheep that wandered away From the ninety nine in the fold And out on the hill-tops and out in the cold, T'was a sheep that the Good Shepherd sought. And back to the flock and back to the fold T'was a sheep that the Good Shepherd brought. Now, why should the sheep be so carefully fed And cared for even today? Because there is danger if they go wrong They will lead the lambs astray. For the lambs will follow the sheep, you know, Wherever they wander, wherever they go. If the sheep go wrong it will not be long Till the lambs are as wrong as they. So still with the lambs we must earnestly plead, For the sake of the lambs today. Irene's Favorite Scripture Verse

And The Reason Why This is the scripture that God gave to my troubled heart, many years ago. I have had many favorite verses since my salvation in 1976. I have had several favorite scripture verses since God gave me this one, but I have gone back to it a couple of years ago and it will continue to be my favorite. Not just for the reason God gave it to me and made it real to me (which is enough of a reason in itself) but because: It is my life raft on the troubled sea of life.
