We Stand For:
The Young Communist League U.S.A is a multi-racial, multi-gendered national youth organization struggling to defend the working class against the vicious attacks of the ultra-right wing Bush administration. We are on the front lines in the struggles for a living wage, for universal healthcare, against police brutality and racial profiling, for the right to organize. The capitalist system offers no solutions to the problems it creates - the problems we as young people face today like barriers to education, drugs, violence, racism, poverty, lack of health care, police brutality. We want a better society and real democracy for all the people. Budget cuts, unemployment, economic crises, poverty and racism are the best we can expect from capitalism - the system of corporate rule based on the drive for maximum profits. As the saying goes, "It doesn't get much better than this." So long as capitalism exists, that's our future. The Young Communist League is fighting for a different future across the country and right here in Buffalo. We are dedicated to ending corporate rule, and to fighting for a decent life for all youth. We are dedicated to building Socialism, USA--a system where big business is publicly owned and the economy is geared toward making life better for people; a system with a peaceful foreign policy, free education, where racism and sexism are outlawed, and where our environment is protected.
