Correspondence:

    1. Uniforms: USSF has approved the blue with black pinstripes seen in MLS games and the Gold Cup as a third alternate jersey.
    2. Booters SC have requested information on a red card situation from last year in the CNYSSL. This is an important reminder to do your paperwork promptly and properly after every game and file it with the proper authorities. Also, just give the facts of the situation and do not "editorialize".
    3. Eastern New York: Bert Haines of AYSO is working with ENY to pass their budget and not increase fees.
    4. State Cup games: If you told Ed you were interested, you will be contacted soon.

Officers Reports:

    1. President: Message to veteran referees: please teach new referees your wisdom!
    2. Vice President: Uniform flags are in
    3. Treasurer: The treasurer was absent and no report was given.
    4. Secretary: If you still need a roster let me know and I will get it to you
    5. Assignor: Field locations for the CNYSSL are available. Email Kevin and he will send them to you.
    6. Registrar: Badges are on the way for those that do not have them.

Committees:

    1. Training: A video on Offside using the 1999 Women’s World Cup as a backdrop was shown. The video stated the most important things in determining offside are concentration, fitness, teamwork, and positioning. Also, Eric Ventura held a lesson on proper flag signals ably assisted by Sean, Rifet and Rick Mitchelson.

Old Business:

    1. JSL: JFK field will no longer be used. The games will be played at the Sauquoit high school on Sulphur Springs Rd. The checks for the games will be mailed at the end of the season.
    2. CNYSSL Reminders:
      1. Spectators should all be on the opposite side of the field from the players
      2. Foul language should be carded, not ignored
      3. Ejected players should leave the vicinity of the field of play
      4. Uniforms should match both color and sleeve length
      5. No jewelry
      6. AR’s should review their flag protocol in the "Guide To Procedures"
      7. Jim Price will be sent a letter by the secretary about games not starting due to inclement weather before the game. We will ask for one-half the normal game fee.

New Business:

    1. The MVSRA coins are in. Each referee is entitled to one when the initiation is paid and extras are available at a cost of $2.00. See Ed.

Items for the good of the game:

    1. There was much discussion of the referees conduct during the recent World Cup games.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:18 PM with a motion by Kit and a second by Byron May.

Respectfully Submitted

Peter Inserra, Secretary
