Bub-Bye 2005!
Mood:  a-ok
Well Here we are! Here I am! I want to thank GOD we've made it another yet. You should thank him too because there are some who didn't make it. Young or Old.

I don't want to seem dismal, and I rarely talk about death, but maybe I am now because it would motivate me to do so. Furqan Muhamad, a Buffalonian passed this year actually a few weeks ago. Last I saw him, he gave me a hug at a Reggae Dance at LHI. I had known Furqan when I first started going to the Langston Hughes institute, a community center here in Buffalo. I was about 20. I'm 43 now. He was around 52 or so. I don't know may be 48.

Furquan was a pretty boy floyd type brotha. He was always into visual communication and a bit of a hustler. I saw him in NYC just before I left and moved back to Buffalo. He got me hooked up with a center than needed some web graphics. It was about 3.5 K for that month. So he blessed me. I also did some other logo animations for him. (CAO)

Then all of a sudden, he was gone. Joe Capuana told me over the phone. Joe taught me "Graphics" at LHI when I young ( stat cameras and press type). He's still into it and uses the Mac. Joe is also really into Black Women :)

May God bless Furquan.

Be thankful for another year. It's a wonderful opportunity.
BTW, Aunt Mae passed Independence Day this year.
I'm happy for her. May God Bless her and I was happy to
really get to know my aunt.

The Drama called Life and Death
Hi. My name is Alonzo Von Threet. I'm an animator. This is my first blog.

Drama of Death

Today also was my sister-in-laws funeral. Her name is Barbera Anne Ross Threet. Her husband is Ralph Threet Jr., my step brother.

It's amazing, I haven't seen him in a long time and all my life I have known him, I have never seen him cry until today.

Barbara and Jr. had been seperated for a very long time and out of all their hardships, they had finally decided to get back together. Then she died of a heartache. She was going to be 51 June 11th. Her birthday was 4 days before mine, next month. It's still very hard to believe eventhough I helped put her body to rest as a palbearer. It happened too fast.

Drama of Life.

Today also was my Auntie Mae, Mary Anne Lewis, birthday. She is 84.
We had a party for her today. Aunt Mae has althiemzers. We, my mom and dad and Marie the helper from Mexico and the rest of my family take care of her everyday. Marie and Aunt Mae are so close. I use to help take her to bathroom everyday but since my mother can't seem to get along ever since I have been back from NYC I stay out of the way as much as possible.

Aunt Mae's sister, Aunt Doris, came from California for her birthday. There was more food and cake and pictures. Way too much excitement for someone in her condition but she had on beautiful new clothes and money in her hand. Aunt Mae likes to fold paper. That's all it's really good for now, folding.

She still has a wonderful sense her humor. She doesn't like the ideal of getting older. She stopped having birthdays at 29.

God Bless Barbara and Aunt Mae.
