Yes there are a couple of blasts from the past here, but they deserve their recognition as some of the gayest bands ever. There are plenty of bands with gay members (Husker Du, King's X, Judas Priest, Faith No More, Go!, the list goes on) that wouldn't make our list because they fucking rule. To the contrary, we are here to put these bands that act gay so they can get girls in their place as the biggest false advertisers and manipulators in rock history. Look at that former Promise Ring bassist who raped an innocent little fan girl. In fact these are bands that every parent in the world would let their daughter date. And that's not what rock and roll is about, ok?! So, don't miss the point. FINALLY SOMEONE WITH A SENSE OF HUMOR! We received our first piece of artist feedback today at Your Band Is Gay from Arty of Errortype:11, and while they still made pins with their faces, had a better sense of humor about it than most people who met New Found Glory once. Well, we at YBIG will always commend a fine gesture, and while Errortype:11 will still be forever pinklisted, they still seem like okay guys. This letter has been reprinted without permission. I have toured with HWM and I agree there isn't a gay thing about them. Although i think that Kirk from Metallica is very questionable. Amplified to Rock arty So, you're still pretty gay (although you admit it on stage) but gay with a sense of humor. Oh and another thing. We've been receiving a few emails saying that we're hypocrites because we link to Hot Water Music as a non-gay band (as mentioned above), and trash The Promise Ring. All I can say is that these people are just plain wrong. Hot Water Music make manly beard rock and just keep getting booked on the same bill as such light in the loafers bands like Elliott. THE YBIG MANIFESTO: Okay, people... If you haven't noticed, the rock world is being taken over by an organization called GWG (Gays With Guitars). This chapter of GWI (instruments) is the second chapter since GWT (turntables) and we were perfectly happy with it staying at that. Unfortunately, with the help of the Godfathers of Gay Emo, GWG members Cap n' Jazz (photo above) and all the bands that arose from their "ashes" (if only), the whole world is forgetting about what rock n' roll is really about... or what it isn't about... gay emo shit.
