Carole opened the meeting at 7:10 pm  by reading Luke chapter 2 verses 8-14. This prayer will be placed in all of the Christmas baskets. The minutes were read by Barbara Yannaco, accepted by Linda Hunt, and seconded by John Lucid. In attendance were: Betty Riggio, Fran Chesley, Lou and Roseann Malagrino, Ed and Dianne Ryan, Bucky Ryan, John Lucid, Nancy Guarino, Chuck and Joanne Bunnell, Bill and Carole Grafer, JoAnn DiSalvo, Janet Kenny, Linda Hunt, Kay Coyle, Yvonne Alexander, Nick Dono, Pat and Jim Mullen, and Barbara Yannaco. Carol Bennett and Joan Dominicis attended as guests. Our HPNAP report for November: We served 89 households which included 147 children, 155 adults, and 14 elderly. This represents an increase of 7% over Nov. 2007. We also distributed 133 Thanksgiving  baskets.

Janet reported that  the students from Our Lady of Lourdes High  School held a dodge ball night. The theme was dodging hunger and they raised over $700 which they donated to us. They also adopted 11 families for Christmas. Thank you all for your generosity and hard work. We would also like to thank Denise McGuiness and Girl Scout troop 10026 for their donation to our food closet. Our  thanks also  go out to the women of Curves in Hopewell Junction for their donation of food to the closet. A special thank you to Emily Mattia who brought all of this food to the closet and put it away. The shopping for the food closet will be done on December 12th and reported on at the January meeting. Chuck is working with the new answering machine and it will be up and working after the first of the year.
