Carole opened the meeting at 7:10pm with the prayer for the second Wednesday of Advent. The minutes were read by Barbara Yannaco; accepted by Kathy Palmer; and seconded by Jack Kiely. In attendance were: Betty Riggio, Linda Boysen, Ed and Diane Ryan, Kathy Palmer, John Lucid, Nick Dono, Chuck and Joanne Bunnell, Jack Kiely, Anne Nardelli, Bill and Carole Grafer, Laura and Bucky Ryan, Joann DiSalvo, Kay Coyle, Linda Hunt, Rosemarie D’Antoni, and Barbara Yannaco. Our HPNAP report for November 2006: we served 70 households which included 119 children, 127 adults, and 11 elderly. These numbers reflect a 66% increase over the number of households we served in November 2005. We distributed 109 Thanksgiving baskets which was a 28% increase over 2005. We received a very nice Christmas card from Father Michael. For 2007 we will try to send out five newsletters. We have a few members who are no longer able to attend meetings but would like to keep up with what we are doing. We will try to get a copy of our monthly minutes to these members.

We will be giving out about 115 Christmas baskets. Linda has a representative for every family that has requested a basket. We thank Daisy troop #442, Cub Scout Pack #127, Brownie and Girl Scout troops #521, #590, and #592 for the food drives that they held to help supply our food closet. We also thank Debbie Gebler from Tokio Electronics for the six bags of food that she brought to the food closet. The St. Denis Souper Bowl weekend has been confirmed. Msgr. Belford has confirmed that Blessed Kateri will have a second collection to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Society during Lent. Joanne, Chuck, Nick, and Bucky went shopping on Dec. 8th . They returned to the closet with 2,054 pounds of food and spent $1801.47. Kay, Betty, and Linda were at the closet to help pack all of this food away. The next meeting will be held on Jan. 10,2007.
