Are you interested in
becoming a member of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society? We are neighbors going out to help our fellow neighbors
within the 3 parishes' boundary (see map below).
When a family is in need, we pair them with a St. Vincent de Paul
member. The first contact will be with food. In St. Denis/St. Columba
School, we have a food pantry with a 4 freezers and 1 small
refrigerater.
Non-perishable food is donated by the parish community and we purchase
meat, dairy and other essentials as funds are available. We are members
of the Regional Food Bank where we can buy donated and co-operative
foods. We also are eligible for United States
Department of Agriculture products. In an average
month, we help approximately 106 families For Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, we have a Holiday
Basket Event. Last year we gave out almost 450 baskets from the
generosity of the community. (Photos) Helping others is rewarding and may not be as hard as you
think. (Guidelines) If you would like to consider
