Had an excellent rookie season in the NHL last year, once he made a believer out of the coaching staff. Took to playing the LW on the Czech line with Petr Nedved and Radek Dvorak, like he had been there his whole life. Has an awesome wrist shot, deadly accurate, with a quick release, has a good understanding of the complete game. Was originally draft by the Islanders in the 1995 entry draft, taken 28th overall. Was moved to Calgary, where the Rangers picked him up on draft day 1999, in a deal that sent Marc Savard to Calgary.
