Hi there, and welcome to my pregnancy!
I'm 33, and pregnant with my first child, due in early November, 1999. I've been married to D., 35, for almost two years.
We live in a lovely, old house 20 miles north of New York City, with a little white dog who
is eagerly awaiting the arrival of his little brother or sister, or so we hope.
For the past six months or so, I've been trying unsuccessfully to extricate myself from the
business I started with a partner eleven years ago, and have been working in unhappily ever since.
I want to be a full time mom, at least for a year, ideally for the long haul. If I can't sell my half of the
business, I'll have to work out some sort of arrangement with my partner. The "arrangment" would involve
me not working, and still drawing an income -- you can see how this might get complicated. I've
decided not to worry about it for awhile in the hopes that it will somehow sort itself out.
I've been an avid web journal reader for a couple of years, and figured this would be a good time to
try my hand at it. I'm keeping things somewhat anonymous to start, since I don't know how it'll all
turn out, but feel free to email me with any questions.
