Think of a situation where a
husband has to keep a secret what
he does and when he leaves, he can
not tell his family where he will be
and he promises he is not doing
anything wrong to his family.

A situation could be if he wants to surprise his family with something good or it could be a situation where something bad is happening and he doesn't want them to worry so he tells them everything is all right so they won't worry.

Imagine you were the director ,
how would you use the modern
     equipment available to create
     effectively the mood of the
     scene?
As a director I would use lighting and use form of technology to make fake things look real. I would use more future things.

Imagine yourself to be Lady
Macduff. Write a monologue that
expresses your feelings towards
your husband and your worries
about your family.

I don't know what is wrong with my husband Macduff he is really stressing me out. I don't know what is wrong or going on with him and he won't be open and tell me what is on his mine. I don't know if this is a phase he's going through or if this is something real serious. I have kids and a family and if it effects him iy effects us all so maybe if I knew what the problem was I could help the situation.

4.List words or phrases that
represent her feelings for her
husband, Macduff.
She is very scared for Macduff she doesn't know what is wrong with him. She is worried I think she just feels like she doesn't know him anymore.

5. Use your own words to rephrase
how her son feels towards his
father, Macduff.
His son knows he's alive even though his mother keeps telling him that he is dead. He doesn't really have any emotion towards him.

6. Explain who the stranger might
be who came to warn Lady Macduff
to flee. Who could have sent him?
I think the stranger was sent by Lady macbeth but, I really couldn't tell who the stranger was I think it was Lenox.

Assignment:
What evidence of opposition to
Macbeth have been developing at
home and abroad? Why? Had
Macbeth taken the council of Lady
Macbeth at every move after the
initial murder of Duncan, would
this opposition have developed?
Describe such possibilities and the
speculation.
The fact that Macbeth could have been the killer of Duncan conflict between him and his wife and Macduff. If Macbeth would have listen to everything Lady Macbeth said I believe the problem would have still existed between them because I believe their mind would bother them so much that anyone their having a problem their telling on themselves.

Do research on One of the following
topics:

   a.Collecting historical
     background regarding
     :"touching"; the accession to
the throne of King James; the
     King’s Menus Company;
   b.Collecting critical comments
dealing with the scene and its
     wider implications.

Act 5
D. What do you know about sleepwalking syndrome? What could have caused such disorder? Do research on line and find the answer. I n Lady Macbeth’s case what could have caused such a disorder in her? It’s a condition in which the senses are partially suspended and a person gets out of bed and walks around. A deep emotional disturbance could have caused the problem. For lady Macbeth the emotional disturbance was the killing that her and macbeth were apart of.

In this act v I feel like Macbeth is just really worn out. His mind is just really bothering him now and every one knows what he has done now and it just seems like he feels like he can’t run anymore or hide from what he has done and he feels like some one is out to get him. He should suffer from his actions him dying is taking the easy way out.

Catastrophe refers to the resolution of tragedy. What characters are most affected by the catastrophe of Macbeth? I think Lady Macbeth and Duncan are most affected by Macbeth catastrophe including himself.

Reflection:
I was satisfied with the way the play ended because he would have been killed anyway if he didn’t kill his self. His downfall is a result of his fate. I feel like he did die like a man. I think Banquo would have been the best leader because he is the most honest. I feel like in the play know one had bad intentions but they did bad thing to get the good things that they wanted. Macbeth and lady macbeth are effected by it. I think the lesson Macbeth offers is to wait your turn.

CREATIVE PIECE/POEM
Title: ”DO WHATS BEST FOR YOU”

(I’m still not sure if lady macbeth is for macbeth’s best interest or hers. Lets see what macbeth thinks)

lady macbeth: Kill him, shoot him, stab him do whatever as long as I’m queen and your king soon, I want whats best for you, don’t you want whats best for you and me, I mean think about it in the long run, I’ll be queen you’ll be king we’ll have such a nice life. I mean will get pass our selfishness for ourselves, when we see all the hurt it has caused to his family, friends and loved ones it won’t bother us that much because it’s whats best for us, I’m sorry I mean you, its for you, its all for you. The sleepless nights will end. You’ll be happy again and I’ll be by your side I promise cause I’m whats best for you. I think all people should follow whats best for them in life.

Macbeth: Okay lady I will, This same night I heard her speech I killed her sick soul, which was poisoning mine because it was best for me.

1. I think Lady Macbeth is telling them to come and drink her breast milk for strength. I don’t think her lines resemble Macbeth his lines means that he wants to hide his feelings from everyone.

2. Lady Macbeth greets him as though he is the king already she said all-hail worthy Cawdor. The solution implied is that he is king already the future is now.

3. Lady Macbeth doesn’t want Duncan to leave alive or live through the night. She’s happy that he is coming hoping that he won’t be leaving alive.

4. She advise Macbeth to be a good host. The lines mean appear to be innocent and nice but on the inside be a snake be deceiving. It reflects that the theme is a fake.

5. I think Lady Macbeth is strong and cold-hearted at the same
time she is the perfect example of a back stabber. I don’t think it would be hard for a woman like her to survive, nowadays there are a lot of deceiving people who smile in your face than hate you behind your back something like a coward but worst. She would definitely be capable of making a lot of enemies.

- How has the relationship between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth changed compared to the one they had?

I feel that before Lady Macbeth use to be more controlling over Macbeth and anything that she wanted him to do she would do anything to get him to do it even if he didn’t want to, but now Macbeth is more in control and Lady Macbeth is more laid back then he is. Even through she is nervous at the sametime that the truth may come out.

S.Calhoun
Shakespeare got his story from Raphael Holinshed’s Chronicles.

What part of the historical story did Shakespeare borrow?
He took basically the root the main idea of the story changed the names around and ran with it.
“Holinshed spends a lot of time on the incident in which Malcolm(who became a popular king) test Macduff by pretending to be mean when he is really nice. Holinshed talks about the murder of king Duff by Donwald in the century before Macbeth. According to Holinshed, Donwald was nagged by his wife until he did the evil deed. Shakespeare adapted this for Macbeth.”
