Jamaica Avenue
In my opinion, Jamaica Ave. is the best part of my neighborhood. Now that's not saying much considering the fact that there is nothing in my neighborhood, but that's not the point. I go there almost every week. Anything a person needs is on the Ave.
The number one thing that I like about Jamaica Ave. is the clothing. I do all of my clothes shopping there. There are about seven clothing stores on the Ave. including V.I.M., Jimmy Jazz, and Dr. Jay's. Even though those are good stores, I don't shop there. I shop in the lesser known stores because the clothes are better and they don't have tax.
I also by all of my video games on Jamaica Ave. Also from a small privately owned store. It's better than the big stores because you get free codes with your purchase.
I go for my music too. The Music Factory sells all music and videos and they release the albums a day early so I can have it before anyone else.
The food is also great. Any kind of food you want, you can get. The only thing that Jamaica Ave. lacks is a movie theater. If it had one, it would probably be the best place to go in New York City. For all of you people who haven't been there, you should go. It is easily accesible. There are two trains and about six buses that stop there. The only thing that I can tell you now is to not wear too much jewlery or flash your money. I'm not trying to be intimidating or anything like that. I'm just letting you know because I have seen people get robbed out there. Other than that I think that everyone will like Jamaica Avenue.
