Interpretation of Allegory of the Cave

To interpret the Allegory of the cave is like in comparison to a young child that was born with the ability to hear .  Years and years the child could hear, then by the time the child is about five or six, it has come to enjoy and loves the sound of music.  Then that child already decided that when he/she grows up that he/she wants to be become a dancer of a ballerina.

This child is already enrolled in to dancing school trying to become the dancer she always wanted to be .  Music is the child passion, she wakes up and lies down to the sound of music being played.  Yet this child has no idea what is about to come her way.

Later on in life, the child has grown up and still trying to accomplish her goal of becoming the dance she always wanted to be.  But unfortunately one day, this person has a bad accident that cause her ability to hear.  Now she is deaf, not able to hear the beat and the words of the music and not being to accomplish the joke dream she held on to from childhood.

The world in her eyes is no longer the same.  It is harder on her, now since she has to learn sign language to be able to communicate and realizes that she can not live up to the one childhood dream of becoming the dancer she once wanting so badly to be, without having to work double as hard as she had to before to strive and once she thinks it is all over for her and becomes desperate wanting her lost of hearing to come back,  she must face it and deal with the new way her life has turn.  Although she could speak, she has to learn the ways of the deaf people to be able to understand want people are telling her.

Eventhough with the new technology today, she might be able to hear with a hearing aid and not having to give up her dream .  She will have to work extremely hard to accomplish that goal and adjust to a different way of living.

3. Explain how this allegory  has changed your way of thinking?(from your reading log?)  The allegory the cave changes the way that I think because now I wonder if anyone or anybody is keeping everybody in the world in the dark from a real world or life because it's what we are use to and what we don't know that can keep us in the dark forever if that were we are at.

4. If there was one thing you have learned from the "Cave" and would like to apply it to
your life, what would it be and why?  That things don't always seem to be what they to be because something could always keep you in the dark of something you don't know or haven't learn.
