Work Experience

I started working my sophmore year of high school, which was 4 years ago. My very first job was helping out in my mom's office over the school breaks and in the summer. I worked there for about 2 years. During that time I also started working at the NY Hall of Science. It was a place that I loved as a kid, and still do. I was able to do many fun things while I worked there. I showed visitors how to use exibits and performed demonstrations on lazers and a cow's eye disection (which my co-workers happily let me do every weekend). Unfortunately I had to leave the Hall as I was about to begin a new part of my life, going away to college. While at school I worked in the computer as a student tech helping other students with computer problems and opening and closing one of the labs. At the beginning of this past summer I had to transfer to a school that was closer to home and I found myself looking for a job once again. I applied for a job at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and received a position in the bookshop. I meet thousands of different people each weekend, and come home with many interesting stories to tell. There's never a dull moment.

As well as having a paying job I do volunteer work. I've been a cubscout leader for about 6 years and I do work in my church as well.
