I certainly cannot say that it has been an easy road.
Far from it. I have struggled mightily and still am.
But I now know I am not in this alone. I have never been
alone, even when I felt so totally and completely alone.
My Lord and Savior has been there every inch of the way.
He has held me in the palm of his hand. He has given me
refuge under his protective wings.

I want to share a couple of verses that have sustained me
when all seemed lost, when I didn't understand why
things were as they were and are.

Romans8:28
And we know that all things work together for good
to them that love God, to them who are the called
according to His purpose.

Now I believe we are all called! But so many of us do not
heed the call. It took an awful lot of calling for me to hear.

Romans8:38-39
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers,
nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God does not move away from us, WE move away
from Him.  He loves us unconditionally. If you are
a parent, think how very much you love your children.
How much more God loves us! It is incomprehensible!

Here is a song that says it all to me, the one that
has moved away and left God numerous times.

God Ran

Almighty God, the Great I Am,
Immovable Rock, Omnipotent,
Powerful, Awesome Lord.
Invincible Warrior, Commanding
King of Kings,
Mighty Conqueror,

and the only time, the only time I ever saw Him run,
was when He ran to me, took me in His arms, held
my head to His chest, said "My child has come home
again." Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes,
with forgiveness in His voice said
"Child do you know how much I love you?"
He caught me by surprise,
When God Ran.

The Day I left home,
I knew I'd broken His Heart,
and I wondered then if things would ever be the same.
Then one night,
I remembered his love for me,
and down that dusty road, ahead I could see,
its the only time, the only time I ever saw Him run,

Is when He ran to me, took me in His arms,
held my head to His chest,
said "My child has come home to Me"
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes,
with forgiveness in His voice said,
"Child do you know I still love you?"
He caught me by surprise,
He brought me to my Knees,
When God Ran.

There is more, but that about says it all!!

I have also learned to let God lead my life. To know
that He is in charge. His time is not my time.
I am an impatient person, I have had to learn
to let God work in my life in His time. It is not
easy, and I still try to hurry Him along. LOL
usually with devastating results.

Here is a poem that helps me with this problem.

Lord, is this Your Will?

Sometimes I ask the question,
"My Lord, is this your will?"
It's then I hear you answer me,
"My Precious Child... be still."

Sometimes I feel frustrated,
cause I think I know what's best.
It's then I hear you say to me,
"My Busy Child... just rest"

Sometimes I feel so lonely
and I think I'd like a mate.
Your still small voice gets oh so clear
and says, "My Child... please wait"

"I know the plans I have for you,
the wonderous things you'll see;
If you can just be patient, Child,
and put your trust in me.

I've plans to draw you closer.
I've plans to help you grow.
There's much I do you cannot see
and much you do not know.

But know this, Child ..... I LOVE YOU.
You are Precious unto Me.
Before I formed you in the womb,
I planned your destiny.

I've something very special
I hope for you to learn.
The gifts I wish to give to you
are gifts you cannot earn.

They come without a price tag,
but not without a cost;
at Calvary, I gave My Son,
so You would not be lost.

Rest Child, and do not grow weary
of doing what is good.
I promise I'll come back for you
just like I said I would.

Your name is written on my palm,
I never could forget;
Therefore, do not be discouraged when
my answer is... "Not Yet"
