I am an Holistic Bodyworker. Holistic is from the Greek "Holos", meaning Whole - Dynamic - Process. Balancing of the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of the body, energy balancing. Effects a positive health change.
Holistic Massage is a tool - as well as a physical art form. Holistic Massage allows the healing process to begin through the simple act of total body relaxation. During my sessions, I use aromatherapy, music and soft lighting.
SWEDISH MASSAGE: Swedish employs several kinds of strokes: effleurage (stroking), petrissage (kneading), friction, vibration, rocking and tapotment (gentle pounding). It promotes nervous system relaxation. It relieves muscle tension, promotes flexibility and improves blood circulation.
REFLEXOLOGY: Gentle massage of the hands, feet and ears promotes deep relaxation, while stimulating blood circulation and lymphatic fluid drainage. Stimulating certain zones on the feet can have a beneficial effect on various organs in the body. Its effect is beneficial to emotional balance and overall well being.
SHIATSU: Also known as "accupressure", it is an ancient art designed to balance the body's energy. The intent is to move the client from a state of "dis-harmony" to one of well being. Gentle finger pressure is applied to "energy meridians" to encourage the body to heal itself.
HERBAL BODY WRAPS: Cotton linens are soaked in a cleansing and penetrating aloe-herb solution. The solution tones and tightens surface skin and boosts cellular activity in deeper layers to restore elasticity and firmness to the tissues. Each treatment cleanses toxins from the fat cells, resulting in size loss wherever fat is. The client relaxes comfortably in the warm botanical extracts for 45 minutes. No bath is needed after the treatment.
