Note to Programming II:

During the rest of my absence, I ask you to diligently and studiously take a detailed trip through this web site:http://www.toves.org/books/java/index.html .

In it you will find a review of a number of items we have already discussed and utilized, but much much more as well. The world of Java is massively huge, and no matter how much we know, there is a lot lot more to learn.

This group of lessons will help to clarify the links from the past two days. There are places to experiment and examples to try. Experiment as much as you can, and try all the examples.

When I return (hopefully with my retina reattached) we will take some time so you can show me what you have discovered, and teach me some new things (as I have said, nobody knows it all, especially me).

As long as my eyes let me, I will be refreshing myself regarding this site.

You will see a link on the calndar for Friday. That is where I will place any additional notes I have. I do not have access to the web pages from home, so I have set up this page and tomorrows as pages hosted at my home site, so I can update them outside of school.

I know you will not disappoint me. GO AND LEARN SOME JAVA!!

- Mr. VL

Big Note: When you start this process, begin by opening JCreator LE and starting a new PROJECT. Give it a name, and a unique folder, and make sure all your downloads and created files go into this folder. This will be one of the first times that we begin to see the need for files to interact, and it will be our first need for a "jar" file. (Find out what a "jar" file is, so you can tell me later!!)
