WELCOME TO MY NEW PAGE
Once upon a time there was a woman who didn't have a heck of a lot to do. Somebody told her, "Get a computer." The woman thought that was certainly a silly idea. Why would she need a computer? What would she do with a computer? "Oh, her friends told her, you can go on the Internet." The woman thought again and eventually said, "What would I do on the Internet?" She was told she could see the world via the Internet.
NOW UNDERSTAND, THE WOMAN WAS NOT A DOPE. She knew straight off that she needed an airplane to see the world!
But, she decided she would buy a computer just to see what everybody was talking about. With that decision in mind, the woman looked in the papers and immediately became confused. What type of computer should she buy? There were so many listed. Which one was the computer for her?
Without a moment of hesitation, she phoned her son and begged him to pick up an appropriate computer. She had only one request, that it be simple enough for her to understand how to work it.
Her son brought her the computer. He hooked it up for her. He turned it on. He showed her how to click. She has been clicking ever since.
Well, she did buy a computer book for DUMMIES, but she was too SMART to understand it. So, to this day she continues to click. She clicked her way to make this web page. She doesn't need a web page. In fact, she didn't even need a computer. Since she has the computer, it only makes sense that she should have the web page. After all, she has stationery, so why not a web page.
BET YOU FIGURED OUT THAT THE WOMAN I AM TALKING ABOUT IS ME! I KNOW YOU FIGURED THAT ONE OUT BY NOW. COME ON, ADMIT IT.
SOME DAY I WILL THINK OF SOMETHING TO PUT ON THIS PAGE.
This is a project in the making. There is no purpose as of yet for creating
a web page. I will think of a purpose as I go along! By the way, it took me much
longer than 5 minutes to make this page--much, much, much longer. I had to use some
html, which, of course, I know nothing about because this page cannot make paragraphs
all by itself as e-mail does. I had to work here to create a paragraph!
updated 9/30/99--I'm getting better at this stuff. I can make things move now!
