tThis
is my 110 G Saltwater set up. I didn't want to have anything too
difficult to start off with, and I wanted something that would
give me a good margin for error. The tank measures 48"L x
18W x30D (just for good measure, we reinforced the floor beneath
it). The substrate is Southdown sand (7" in back sloping
to 4" in front), and has 90# of live rock.
The tank went through two almost identical cycles of algae infestation--once when the live rock was introduced and once when the fish were. As you can see from this pic, there's still some nuisance red algae problems, but the macro algae is growing pretty well. As predicted, alot of the interesting growths from the LR have been eaten by the puffer.
The tank is heated by a single EboJager, and the sole filtration is two Fluval 303's that came with the tank.
The tank was set up in October, but the fish were added in February.
TheThese are da fish: a picasso trigger and (after much taxonomy debate) a Canthigaster Solandri (sharpnose puffer). At least at this point there are no aggression issues for either fish (although the trigger is already about 1/3 larger than the puffer). Although a shy feeder at first, the puffer now feeds at the surface for most of the meals. The picasso was about 2.5-3" when introduced and would be very large if it reaches it's maximum of 12". The puffer was about the same size and can reach between 5"-6".

This
photo gives a pretty good idea of the relative size of the fish
(as well as the very active swimming style of the picasso!).
