This is the tank just after setting it up on 3/22/00. From L to R: Crypt Blassi,
C. affinis , E. Cordifolius, Sunset Hygro, dwarf sag., E. x. "Apart",
Sag. pusilla, Cabomba, Rotala, Giant Val, H. Diffiormis.
The
tank as of two weeks later (4/7/00). Added to the tank are a number
of E. Tenellus, H. Corymbosa, Nymphea
Lotus,
Crypt. Wendetti, Anubius Nana (both of the latter from my 10g),
and some italian val.
You
can see here that the sag has filled in nicely in the foreground,
and the Amazon (E. Cordifolius) has almost outgrown the tank.
The
tank as of 6/00, post-move, post-rubbermaid container. The three
silver forms you see in the middle are the SAE's doing what I
call "Chorusing"--it reminds me of the chorus of mice
in "Babe." Personally, I like this a little better,
as it gives more of a slice-of-riverbed feel, with the Crypts
growing together and the hygro growing up the sides of the tank.
I'd like to plant some Alternatha or something like that there.
